About Aleese Lin:
Aleese Lin writes about fun things, pretty things, and monsters.
She has received multiple honors, including being named a 2022 Lambda Literary fellow and a Tin House workshop alumnus. Her debut novel, is SAMANTHA SPÜK: PARANORMAL WEDDING PLANNER with Saga Press. She is also a contributor to the star-reviewed climate fiction anthology, ONWARD (Charlesbridge, 2026).
After winning several national writing awards in her teens, Aleese moved from Texas to Tokyo to complete her Bachelor’s in Japan Studies. Following a short stint modeling, an internship at the Embassy of Afghanistan, and travel to over twenty-five countries, she taught at the oldest girl’s school in Japan. From there she completed a Master’s degree in Education in Bristol, U.K. and returned stateside to teach middle and high school. Aleese enjoys opportunities to engage with the writing community, both through teaching and by hosting low-cost writing retreats, and volunteers as an ESL educator and coordinator.
Presently, she lives with her family in a hillside cottage overlooking the Boston area.
About Amanda Glaze:
Amanda Glaze is an author of acclaimed young adult fiction and an Emmy Award–winning film and television producer. Her debut novel, The Second Death of Edie and Violet Bond, inspired by her real-life spirit medium ancestors, was selected as a Barnes & Noble YA Book Club Pick and honored by the American Library Association as a Rise Feminist Book Project Selection. Her most recent novel, The Lies of Alma Blackwell, draws on her fascination with the enigmatic Winchester Mystery House and was called a “cinematic” and “gripping supernatural thriller” by Kirkus Reviews.
As a film and television producer, Amanda is the recipient of two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Producers Guild of America nomination. Over the course of her career, she has developed and produced projects ranging from romantic comedies to documentaries, including the Academy Award–nominated film THE BIG SICK, the Emmy Award–winning HBO documentaries The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling and George Carlin’s American Dream, and the romantic comedy Trainwreck starring Amy Schumer and Bill Hader.
