Wilder Peyton and Odette Everson have lived two very different lives. Raised by a wealthy family of lawyers, Wilder has lived the posh lifestyle of a Miami elitist except for the fact that he wants nothing to do with his family's money, works in an auto shop, and street races on the weekends.

Thrown into foster care at age 14, Odette has always had to work for what she wants. Seeing her younger siblings once a week and waiting tables at her best friend's café have always been the highlights of her life except on the days when Wilder Peyton struts through the café doors.

Wilder and Odette have never been friendly to one another, but there is a fine line between love and hate. Car trouble, a family fight, and a startling ghost from the past could be just the things that define that line. But lines can break.
